French ATC strikes continue
There was continued disruption to flights to and from PMI yesterday because of the ATC strikes, however there were less cancellations but some delays of 2-3 hours on many flights.
Not a lot to report in terms of movemnets but I did note the newish Vueling A320 EC-LQK in on a morning Barcelona flight.
Hurry up May 1st I say ,mind you as I watch the snow falling outside this morning in West Birmingham ,I could be forgiven for thinking it was January here.
Air Europa have scheduled an A330 this morning so will watch out and report back tomorrow.
Regards,
Keith

Monday 2nd April-French ATC strikes
The strikes by French ATC created havoc with flights across Europe and certainly didn't do PMI any favours. There were several cancellations and many flights had long delays,a horrible start for anybody travelling out for the Easter holidays.
Despite that turmoil I did pick up a lot of movements and there were some that grabbed my interest.
Firstly Air Arabia Maroc used A320 CS-NMA from and to Nador.Unfortunately with a 0130 arrival and 0230 departure not that many would have caught it.
German Sky B738 D-AGSB was also in ,which was probably a first visit for PMI.
This is their 2nd aircraft and was previously TC-SKU with their Turkish parent company and was delivered to them at the end of November 2011.
Finally Jet2 used Strategic Airlines A320 LX-STA on their Manchester service which came in a couple of hours last eand went out around 4 hours later because of the ATC restrictions.
It looks like similar problems are being had today,Wednesday 3rd, as well, with the morning Easyjet's running a couple of hours late.Lets hope it smoothes itself out later.

Summer Timetables underway
Hi All
The Summer timetables have been in operation for a week now,so time for a quick run over what is happening at PMI.
This weekend has seen the number of flights doubling to over 200 on Friday ,Saturday and Sunday. The other days of the week are about 170 flights per day but will no doubt grow.
Nothing too exciting yet in terms of operators with Ryanair and Air Berlin providing half the movements.
Air Berlin are providing a good mix of types but Ryanair don't have as many different movements with PMI now being a 4 plane base.
Looks like we may have to wait another month for more variety and indeed more movements although Easter may see a few more airlines and types coming in.
Please don't forget to send in your reports if you manage to get out to Majorca over the holiday period and I will repeat Paul's plea for details of and biz/light/mil you may log.
